When picking products to market in your business, I’ve seen many people randomly stumble upon what they think they should be selling. They may have some lucky success with that, but for most people, it hasn’t been planned or considered in a way that gets them closer to their Freedom.
A lot of business owners seem to be picking products based on others meer opinions, what they predict their market needs, or my current favourite; based on the newest trend, fad or idea being shared among their peers.
They fail, however, to pay attention to how it will help them achieve their Personal Financial Freedom. In fact usually, it never even crosses their mind as a consideration. Business Owners are selecting products and services to market based on outside factors, not their Freedom.
In my opinion, this is all wrong and I’m Calling Bullshit.
It’s important to note here, this is not the Business Owners fault. From what I’ve seen, they’ve just never been shown any other way to do this. They have followed what’s considered to be “normal”, and just like sheep, fell into line.
It’s About Time Business Owners were informed that their is in fact a “right way” to select products and services in their business. Selecting your Product Suite the right way is a crucial step in being able to use your business as the acceleration vehicle to create your Personal Financial Freedom.
In today’s world, Business Owners and Entrepreneurs are surrounded everyday by a thick smog of marketing, constantly bombarding us and gearing our focus towards customizing our business FIRST.
For instance, have you ever heard any of the following phrases?
- “Buy this e-mail marketing course.”
- “Get this landing page software.”
- “Buy Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. ads.”
- “Offer a subscription/membership service.”
- “Learn how to speak stage and sell.”
- “You should raise your prices!”
- “Get on news to build credibility.”
- “Start a podcast.”
- “Do a launch!”
- “Get your website SEO’d”
- “Start a coaching business.”
- “Create a Survey Funnel!”
- “Write a book, a report, a mind-map, etc.”
- “Learn how to write advertising copy.”
- “Learn how to do a joint venture.”
- “Hire someone overseas!”
All of those phrases are ways you can customize your business.
Each could be great advice, but only under the condition that directly supports your Freedom. If they don’t support your journey to your Freedom then the action is likely not for you. So how do you determine which action is in your best interest? You must Customize your journey to Freedom.
