I’m sad to say that this is the last article in my series on money blocks and how to clear them.
If you’re just joining us, I encourage you to check out my other articles (here, here and here) to learn a bit about the blocks you may be carrying around. My name is Adriana Carbonell, and I’m a life coach dedicated to helping my clients identify and clear the blocks keeping them from success. Today, I’d like to talk to you about how you can clear your own money blocks.
As mentioned in my last post, identifying your blocks is crucial to removing them. After all, you can’t deal with problems when you don’t know they’re there.
To quickly recap, blocks are thoughts that prevent you from achieving the success you deserve. Blocks can be Clutter Blocks overwhelming you or Family Blocks holding you back. But the most common blocks are Money Blocks. And they can present in a variety of ways.
Giving Blocks Back
Once you’ve identified what’s blocking you, you can deal with it. Start by remembering that the block isn’t yours to begin with. Most blocks, particularly Money Blocks, are thoughts that other people put into your head. Whether your thinking is “I can’t afford that,” or “I’ll never get that job.”
These thoughts are actually those of other people, and we’ve simply claimed them as our own. When you remind yourself of that, you can give the thought back and clear it from your own mind.
Replacing thoughts is one of the most important steps in clearing blocks. Because that’s when the actual clearing process begins. Replacing thoughts is simply a matter of looking at the situation differently, and thinking differently.
This may sound easier said than done, but it’s really not. For instance, imagine you want to buy a new car. If your Money Block is “I can’t afford it,” that may not actually be true.
You actually might be able to afford a new car, the insurance and the upkeep. But if you’re also saving for your child’s education and committed to Financial Freedom right now, you might not be able to take on all three.
So, instead of thinking about that new car in terms of what you can’t afford, I tell clients to replace that thought with something more positive. That might be, “I choose to spend my money on other things right now.” Or, “this is my goal after I meet my current goals.” Replacing thoughts and thinking about situations differently is incredibly empowering. And it puts the control back in your hands.
You’ll clear your Money Block, and open the door to success.
Meditation blocks out exterior noise, helps us focus inward and clears our minds. As an exercise, that’s why meditation is such an integral part to clearing block. As you get better at meditating, you’ll find you identify other blocks, reduce negative thoughts and build the positivity you need.
